My Background

I graduated from Brunel University in 2006 with a BSc (Hons) in Information Systems and worked for a large multinational in Service Delivery during my internship. However, I always knew that my true calling was teaching! I completed a Mathematics Enhancement Course, it gave me the tools to teach maths properly before completing my PGCE in Secondary Mathematics Education at Brunel University in 2008.

Since qualifying, I have worked in various types of secondary schools across North-West London and have held key positions of responsibility, I was a Head of Maths for eight years and am currently an Assistant Principal. As well as being an Examiner for Edexcel, I review exam papers and mark schemes for GCSE Mathematics prior to publication.

I have taught GCSE and A Level Maths and Further Maths since my first year of teaching. In fact, my first school did not offer A Level Further Maths so I decided to teach it in my own time with great success. I have prepared students for all major exam boards as well as 11+ and private school entrance exams, SATS and Maths Challenges.

I recently began tutoring due to the growing need for good maths education, unfortunately this is not always possible in a school setting. Students have varying experiences and ambitions and it is not always possible for teachers to fulfill these in a class of 30 with the various pressures of the job. I hate to see wasted potential and decided to offer my expertise and experience to those that wish to utilise it, hence the birth of TK Maths Academy Ltd.

I am passionate about teaching and mathematics, so teaching mathematics is a dream. I hope that I can have a positive impact on the next generation of students' ability to do maths and fulfil their life goals.
